about me...
Biography
Phoebe Heywood currently attends the Royal Northern Collage of Music after graduating from Chetham's School of Music in 2022. Having gained two organ scholarships from a young age Phoebe harvested choral music, going on to sing Dies Irae at BBC proms with her choir. After touring around Europe with Chamber Choir, it gave her insight to the wonderful world of solo singing, encouraging her musical focus to be directed to opera.
From then she attended Chetham's under the Head of Vocal Marcus Farnsworth. A resounding concert was 2022 Alan Davis Celebration, performing a premier performance of the contemporary piece 'Oh Mistress Mine'. She has sung a solo recital for Wilmslow Church (Lied der Mignon), as well as solo concerts for Lancaster Priory choir (Sure on this shining night, Si le Bonner, Ombra Mai Fu) and been a member of Penrith's opera society, singing in Cosi Fan Tutti and Duffle's Requiem. Phoebe's repertoire is extensive, ranging from German lieder, Italian Arias right through to contemporary works.
Phoebe Heywood's mission in her career is “performance is the door to artistic, cultural and personal enrichment." With her distinctive repertoire she combines her knowledge of different landscapes of music, exploring culture from European art songs (Ideale, Tosti/As it is Plenty, Benjamin Brittain) right through to Italian aria (Non so piu cosa son).
